about us

Wylie Handyman is my personal, home-operated business. I do all the work myself except for the occasional helper (my son) or specialist. This allows me to be confident in the service I am providing and decreases profit margins and overhead, keeping within budget for my customers.

I've been passionate about home maintenance since 1994, when a small painting job in Dallas sparked my love for "fixin' stuff." For over 20 years, I honed my skills as a handyman, tackling everything from plumbing repairs to floor installations. For the next several years, I was going through school and doing gigs left and right as a handyman.

In the summer of 2001, Telecom Corridor in Richardson got busted, and I lost my job in the industry. To survive, I started as a handyman through tough times, even going to Houston and rehabbing several homes. In the same year, in late fall, I started as a maintenance person for Power Properties in the Gaston/Swiss Ave area in old East Dallas, fixing apartments and old houses. That got me busy fixing stuff full-time, from plumbing to HVAC repairs, floor installation, painting, and electrical replacements. In the Spring of 2002, I tried in the field of commercial maintenance for ADF Management in the Harry Hines area of Dallas.

After working in property management, I focused on helping others in Wylie and the surrounding areas. While my health limits my physical work, I can still connect you with a network of trusted handymen, general contractors, plumbers, and other skilled professionals for your home repair and maintenance needs.
